Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy

Pediatric speech-language therapy helps children develop effective communication skills so they can express themselves, understand others, and engage more fully in daily activities. Our team of licensed pediatric speech-language pathologists (SLPs) works with children to improve speech sounds, language development, social communication, voice, fluency (such as stuttering), and feeding or swallowing abilities.

Therapy is tailored to each child’s unique needs and often takes the form of play, making it fun, interactive, and engaging. Whether your child is just starting to talk, has difficulty following directions, or struggles to be understood, our team supports their progress using evidence-based strategies and family-centered care.

Our Specialty Areas of Speech & Language Therapy

Who could benefit from speech-language therapy?

All of our speech-language pathologists are credentialed by the State of Illinois Early Intervention (EI) Program and specialize in coaching and collaborating with parents and caregivers of children from birth to age three. EI therapy is provided either in-home or at daycare settings. To maintain this credential, our therapists complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education (CEUs) focused specifically on Early Intervention.

Please note that Early Intervention sessions must be authorized by the local Child and Family Connections (CFC) office and are separate from in-office private therapy.
